I'm officailly a US CITIZEN!!

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

Today is a day of mourning

I don't need to give more statistic cuz i know everyone has heard the news of Virginia Tech.  For the past two days and more so today I have been extremely sad and often crying.  The holy spirit has put on my heart for the ppl that was killed/injured/affected.  I specifically was hurt to know that there are ppl that are in so much pain that they would resort to killing many innocent people.  I know that there are lots of killing  and murder in this world, but somehow this particular event devested me.  My heart feels inside out and torn and broken.  I don't want to go on accusing like many of the news ppl are doing.  I just ached that more ppl would know the LOVE OF CHRIST.  How much does this world need him!   I pray that if someone out there that is depressed or angry at the world or dealing with overwhelming emotions would know CHRIST and come to him because he is the one that gives comfort.  He will forgive.  He loves all.  Brothers and sisters as we continue to pray for all that are involved I pray that we are ever more persistant to seek the lost.  Share the LOVE OF CHRIST so that people would not resort to their own actions but would come to him and seek guidence from him.  Reach out to the people that are often left out.  Reach out to those that are untouchable.  If you're in school, young or old, I urge you to love as Christ LOVE.  HE LOVED ALL.

This has been such a painful event.  Let us look up to him and ask for his grace and mercy.

Praise the LORD

So I passed my citizen interview/civic's test!!!  I did miss like 2 questions that were like really easy but for some reason I totally just blanked.  I KNOW I'M DUMB..haha.  The good news is that she was really really cool and nice.  I'll be getting sworn in on 04/18th.  During the interview and testing part they asked some silly questions like:

"are you a terriorist or belong to a terriorist group?"

"Do you intend to ruin the government?"

"Are you a prostitute/kidnapper/etc....?"

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE SAY YES?????  hahaha.  AND if you did does that make you automatically DENIED? who knows?

In other news, GOING TO NEW YORK CITY TOMORROW!!!  YAY YEH!  Should be fun with family and stuff.  CHINATOWN HERE WE COME.  got to get me some real chinese food..hahaha.

By the way, if anyone is interested.  Tomorrow 03/30 at the Ukrops on Broad between Parham and Gaskins.  Jet Blue is giving away like 400 round trip tickets to either NY or Boston.  The catch is.....you have to come dressed in colonial attire (this is to celebrate the 400 anniversary in Jamestown) and bring two cans of can food (to go to the food bank)   Anyway, the doors will open at 7am for ppl to begin to wait in line but the tickets will not be distributed starting noon.  I know that this is last minute for ppl to get a costume but I thought that it was a cool thing.  Maybe you could use what you have?  or maybe some of you have one in your closet for some reason. HAHA!

okie doke.  That's all folks.  Have a great weekend.  Oh yea, GOOD LUCK TO those that are running in the Monument 10K!  Break and Leg..hehe...well not literally.

peace out

Snotty.

SSOOOOO CLOSE!  VCU made it a tight game yo.  Now I'll have to root for the other Virginia teams cuz VA rules....hehe.  I would have totally loved for VCU to win since I went there but I guess UVA or VT would have to do for now.

I'll always be A RAM though!!!

and I know that it will be a put into history that we beat DUKE..hehe

Let me rephrase my last post..haha.  I mean not that I wasn't proud to be a VCU graduate.  I mean, it's just that nothing really cool ever happened since I've been there.  It's good to hear about something in such a cool manner.  You know having attention brought to the school I went to.  It's like when Elliot Yamin made the top 4 in american Idol....and he went to my high school and lived in Richmond.  It makes me feel like wow, I was a part of something.  LOL  anyway, not a big deal.  Don't all get on my case for it.
